Mountain Tigers - Brayden Webster's Retirement

14 Oct 2018 by Duncan Hirst

Dear All

The Mountain Tigers basketball community has many boys and girls pass through it during their junior basketball careers. However there is one player who has quite literally been part of the club since before its inception and has been a constant over the past 16 years, Brayden Webster.

Brayden’s career with the Mountain Tigers comes to an end during this current finals series, after an amazing 32 seasons with the club. He began playing Under 8 basketball in the Summer of 2002 – this was as a member of the Tecoma Raptors (one of the founding clubs that merged into the Mountain Tigers in 2005), and now finishes his play with us in U23 this month.

Although accurate records from prior to 2005 are not available, conservatively this means over 500 games played with the club.

Brayden is still very much involved in the club as a coach and Age Group Co-Ordinator, and we hope this continues for many years to come.

Congratulations Brayden on a fantastic basketball career with the Mountain Tigers!

Go Tigers!!
