Dear Members,

On Monday we will be releasing the teams for the summer season.
There are a few important updates to be aware of:

1. Team Numbers & Grading
We have added several new teams for summer. Please don’t rely only on the team number when checking—while your child may appear in the same numbered team, that team may now be graded higher for the coming season.

2. Training Schedule
Unfortunately, we no longer have access to Wednesday training due to changes at Sherbrooke Basketball.
Most training sessions will now run on Monday at Upwey, with a few additional spots on Tuesday at Upwey, and some Under 8s at the State Basketball Centre (to allow use of lower rings).
Training times now follow a strict age order: Under 10s train earliest, followed by Under 12s, and so on. None of the older teams will be scheduled into the early time slots.

3. New Training Pod for Boys (U10, U12, U14)
This summer we are trialing something new and exciting: a training pod across teams 1–5 in these age groups.
After the holidays, coaches will introduce this new energetic, skill-expansion training style. We are aiming to push development to the next level, keeping Mountain Tigers at the forefront of progressive training.
We also received a large number of friendship requests again this season, and we have done our best to accommodate these wherever possible.

4. Team Selection Process
Mountain Tigers now has nearly 550 players.
Selections involve a dedicated night with coaches and age group coordinators, followed by placement of coaches and assistants. It is a long and detailed process, only finalised in the last day or two.
Please keep in mind the significant effort from our volunteers before sending emails or texts about team placements.

5. President’s Availability
I will be unavailable by email or text from the evening of 22 September until 30 September (yes—the President is taking a holiday!).

6. Uniforms
All uniform orders are now complete, and confirmation text messages have been sent with collection details.
